Doctors Goldman and Miller have been practicing together since 1987, previously as part of a considerably larger group. Since 2011 we have reinvented ourselves as a small practice to better offer individuals personalized compassionate cardiovascular care.
We are proud of our small group of healthcare professionals, some of who have been with us nearly as long as we’ve been working together. This stability allows the staff to get to know you personally, enhancing your experience with us.
Our care is physician intensive, we do not utilize physician extenders such as physician assistants or nurse practitioners.
We work hard to keep you out of the hospital with all of its potential problems. We’re happy to see you when you are sick, we don’t send you right to the emergency room. We treat what are frequently thought to be “inpatient” problems in the outpatient setting.
Although we offer state-of-the-art cardiology with all of the advanced tools and maintain accreditation in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography ( IAC, the Inter-societal Accreditation Commission, the industry’s benchmark demonstrating the highest quality patient) our real focus is face-to-face evaluation, understanding that most diagnoses are made by listening to and examining patients.
Although we are up to date with electronic medical records and other technology, we continue to take notes with pen and paper, so that we are not distracted by a computer screen while talking to you.
Having nearly 60 years of combined experience in cardiology, we have seen a lot come and go. This has allowed us to develop a unique approach to cardiology, understanding that a mix of “old” and “new” ideas are necessary. Frequently what is “new” and popular is not always needed or even the correct treatment for you.
We remain in private practice, not employed by a hospital or system and are not “beholden” to utilize their testing and technology. Additionally, not being owned by a hospital, we are free to use any local, regional, or national centers without undue influence.
